My story

I'm Nibirh, a 2012 B.Tech graduate of IIT Kharagpur, with an MBA from Copenhagen Business School, and I now live in Copenhagen.

Coming from humble beginnings, I cracked JEE in 2007 and went to IIT Kharagpur. While in IIT, I managed multiple internships and spent a semester abroad in Brazil. I got placed from the campus and worked at a public sector company. Years later, I cracked the GMAT and earned a scholarship to study my MBA at Copenhagen Business School, in Denmark. I now work at a multinational Logistics company. Across ten years of work in India and five in Denmark, I've seen how these choices play out over a whole career.

When I was a student, I felt lost and unsure. I had nobody to guide me, so I learnt things the hard way, and it took time. IITian Mentor exists so that today's students and parents don't have to do the same.

How I work

• Independent. I am not attached to any coaching institute, college, or consultancy, so there is no incentive for me to push you anywhere.
• Honest. If your plan looks unrealistic, I will say so kindly and clearly, and we will work on what is realistic instead.
• Calm. These decisions are already stressful enough. The session is a conversation, not a sales pitch.
